Hello Beautiful Souls,

This past month has been nothing short of historic.

We have watched while holding our breath as Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin took the Miss World stage by storm and she has ended her journey on the highest possible note. She didn't just compete; she conquered hearts.

Winning the prestigious People’s Choice Award and securing a spot in the Top 6 is an achievement that transcends beauty pageantry. It is a monumental milestone - not only is this the highest level any Eritrean has ever reached on this global platform, but it is also the first time Eritrea has been represented at the Miss World finals at all. To not only qualify but to advance all the way to the final six is nothing short of remarkable.

A Unifying Force

In a world that often feels divided, Snit has managed to do something truly beautiful: she has united Eritreans across the globe. She gave us a refreshed reason to be proud, a reason to come together and a beacon of positivity to rally behind. In her, we saw ourselves. We saw our resilience, our beauty and our potential.

Beauty and Brains

While her outer beauty is undeniable, it is her inner strength and intellect that truly set her apart. Snit is the embodiment of "beauty with a purpose". She is a neuroscientist, a graduate of George Mason University and a passionate advocate for her sister (who has Down syndrome), as well as a champion for breast cancer awareness. She runs a non-profit organization Designing for Diversity, dedicated to making a difference, proving that she is not just a pretty face but a force for good.

The "Snit Effect"

There is an inexplicable aura about Snit that draws you to her. It is her approachable manner, her warm and ever-present smile and the genuine humility she exudes. She carried herself with an elegance and eloquence that made us all proud.

A Love Letter of 13.8 Million Votes

Her journey was fueled by the unwavering support of her "Eritrean brothers and sisters". The record-breaking feat of securing over 13.8 million votes is unprecedented in Miss World history. But those numbers were never just statistics - they were Love Letters . They were messages of hope, pride and solidarity sent from every corner of the globe.

That is what Eritreans do. We love to see our own rise to the top. We want to see positive change, history being made and our culture represented on the world stage.

A Final Thank You

To Snit, we say thank you. Thank you for what you are doing, for what you stand for and for putting your whole heart into this journey.

You have given us a legacy of pride. For us, you have already won. You have won in the highest way possible - by being unapologetically yourself and by carrying the hopes of a nation with grace.

Love Always,

Sarina xx
